Hi! My name is Lydia, I’m a First Year student here studying Business. I am running for the role of Sustainability Officer as I believe I can add a lot to this role in my attempts to make ATU Sligo more sustainable.
Sustainability is not only important on an individual basis but also in our local community, country and wider world. Taking care of our future by making more sustainable choices will positively impact generations to come.
If elected, I plan to bring in initiatives to make the campus more eco-friendly in efficient ways. Whether it be by focusing on how we as a college can better recycle & manage our waste or by taking part in fun sustainable events organised for both staff & students to engage in to promote and further understand what it means to be environmentally friendly.
